I listen to the silence,
My third eye opens wide;
I'm tired of the violence
Inside my troubled mind.
I want to be much closer
To those vibrating stars,
Recharging my soul's sources
By being there, so far.
I'm tired of the sounds
That never let me sleep;
A lash has fallen down.
I hear its silent weep.
I dreamt of that composure
Since I was born again;
A terrible disclosure
Is that it can't be gained.
It ain't all that horrific:
I've found peace of mind
When I've left all the cynics
And hypocrites behind.
I listen to the silence
Alone in this dark night;
I listen to the silence
Until the gleam of morning light.
