B E L O V E D (The Devil"s Home on Leave)
I am Beloved and
He is mine
for I
am all the peoples who walked behind
the suns of wrath at Dawn
to find a closed gate
a wall of words and stone
a kinsman"s blade
and stop and hear
from far and near
the Song of Night and Day.
Be loved and walking
to spirits talking
where
the winds of atmosphere
touch the demons" hoard
I reach and find your hand, so kind
at last, Beloved
you"ve given me this world.
the weight is breaking
for I am taking
the pain again
and yet again
as I see you die
in heavens high
in the northern sky
falling.
as suns are burning
galaxies turning
around your home
beyond the rim
a castle of bone of ice and stone
to be alone,
to think and wait and elaborate
create in kind
to look and find
me.
on this globe
things fall and die, fated to do so
alone
far away from those few
Who Are Beyond The Fall
of Time
on stone thrones
but you are nigh
as creatures die
sharing the pain
with ALL
as I share it with you.
"Come forth, my childrens" mother.
My girl of flesh, my rose
I"m home now, it"s me.
bring milk and butter, bread and salt
of the Earth
from our house
for I suppose
it"s me, your husband."
the Devil"s home on leave.
quiet voice in my mind, Beloved
you need my skills wicked
my human cunning
scheming and planning
for war, sabotage
and espionage,
terror and pillage
and rhetorics heretical
are all but theoretical and cruel things
for which I am the right man.
I"m not afraid of flying
of living free and dying
without you
for you.
the best of all for killing
for being free and leading
this holy war
of you.
The meaning of life is what I make of it,
nothing more or less, nothing fated
or complicated.
It"s good enough for me, it"ll have to be
for all from now on.
But things get really unsettling
When I think of the last gloomy meeting between you and me,
And silently I cry as I see you die
high in the northern sky,
taking your pain again and again,
catching the world from your hand into mine
falling.
