After the publication in the Molot newspaper (number 108 (20197) dated May 9, 1989, page 3), the participants in the events - from among those who responded to the publication - entered into correspondence.
Some time later, there was (at least one) meeting in the city of Rostov-on-Don, in the apartment of the Zalesskys. It is the same apartment - on Rostov-Gora, from the balcony of which enemy detachments advancing on Rostov were monitored.
The meeting lasted several days. Letters and greeting cards seem to tell about this, as well as my personal - rather old - memories.
After the meeting (several meetings?) the photographs remained.
Who is depicted on them?
Of course, I can recognize the Zalesskys. And who is in the photographs - besides them?
In front of me is an envelope. The envelope is postmarked. I'm trying to identify the numbers. 03/05/91? March 5, 1991? Maybe it was a congratulation on March 8?
The return address is of Leonid Trofimovich Starodubtsev.
The envelope contains two photographs.
On the back of one photograph there is an inscription: "In a long and good memory to a friend Starodubtsev Leonid Trofimovich from Georgy Andreevich Lebedev. May 9, 1985."
Second photo. The top edge is cut off (the image is not affected, but the line is missing) - the word "Trofimovich" remains on the reverse side. So this is a photograph of Leonid Trofimovich Starodubtsev.

Both are photographed in jackets and ties.

These two photographs are a guideline when looking at collective (general) photographs.
I hope that in the general photographs it will be possible to identify the participants in the defense of Rostov on November 20, 1941 - participants who met at the scene [at the place of events] more than 45 years after the intense battle.
