Kolya Cherepanov vs the evil mazut. A story.
Kolya Cherepanov's parents are junior researchers at one of the Rostov research institutes.
After the mazut disaster, there was a strong revival in scientific circles.
Kolya's parents arranged business trips for themselves to the Black Sea coast, to Sochi. They took Kolya with them (tickets for children are sold with great discounts).
They had to wait a little for the plane to take off for Sochi: various problems interfere with air traffic. But soon Kolya and his parents landed in Sochi.
They settled into a modest, relatively inexpensive hotel (where research workers usually stay).
And Kolya's parents are going to Anapa for one day (the highway has been cleared after the landslides, there are no heavy rains and tornadoes). There is a lot of useful scientific information in Anapa, and, in addition, there are several objects left over from the era of antiquity.
Kolya is not going to Anapa. He is going to skiing with one of his parents' acquaintances (who is also from the field of science).
Not far from the cable car leading to the snowy peaks, Kolya sees a group of beautifully dressed children. Some children have patches on their jackets: "Scientific Center for Gifted Children Pluto".
Kolya says to one of the boys: "It's good here in the mountains!"
"Yes, it is beautiful!" - the boy replies.
Kolya takes a few steps to the side. He says to the man with whom his parents left him: "This is my school class who came here with our teacher from Rostov. I will take a walk with them and return to the hotel in the evening. Don't worry about me!"
"Go, be careful!" - the man replies.
Kolya spends time with a group of children from the "Scientific Center for Gifted Children Pluto". He returns with them to an excellent hotel complex, has a delicious dinner.
Almost all gifted children head to the disco to dance. But Kolya and his new buddy go to one of the children's scientific laboratories: "Youth Environmental Research of the Azov-Black Sea basin."
"What is your scientific topic?" - the new buddy asks Kolya.
Kolya recalls the historical punch card that his parents sometimes show him. This is a commemorative punched card from the time when first-generation computers were installed in Computing Centers.
"From this punch card," - Kolya's parents proudly tell him, "the "Mathematical Model of the Kerch Strait - the strait between the Azov and Black Seas" has grown." (Older generations of relatives and Kolya's parents worked in this scientific direction. And Kolya himself is going to work in this scientific trend, too).
Kolya doesn't really believe them: if a "Mathematical model of the Kerch Strait" had grown out of this punched card, then he, Kolya, like his parents, - they - would have grown up in the families of State Prize laureates, and not in the families of junior research fellows.
Kolya understands the situation, but he does not enter into arguments with his parents, does not make comments, does not ask clarifying questions. He looks respectfully at the legendary punch card. He usually adds at this point, "That is cool!"
Kolya remembers a punched card that his parents sometimes show him. He replies to his new buddy: "I'm doing mathematical modeling of large water objects!"
The new friend looks at Kolya with respect and sits down at the terminal. There is a beautiful inscription on the terminal: "Artificial intelligence Pluto".
A new buddy asks the Artificial Intelligence Pluto (AIP) various questions, gets answers, makes printouts on paper.
Kolya asks his new buddy: "Ask AIP how to supplement the Mathematical Model of the Strait between the Azov and Black Seas with nonlinear dependencies to obtain a Mathematical Model of the Azov-Black Sea Basin."
Kolya's new buddy asks AIP a question. AIP prepares an answer to the question for several minutes. Finally, the text appears on the screen.
Kolya asks: "Could this text be printed?"
"Of course!"
A new buddy puts three packs of A4 paper, 500 sheets each, into the newest printer-printing house. And soon Kolya has a huge, well-bound, scientific tome in his hands, entitled "Mathematical Model of the Azov-Black Sea Basin".
"I'll go and read... Maybe I need to edit something..." Kolya says to his new buddy and leaves the premises of the scientific laboratory " Youth Environmental Research of the Azov-Black Sea basin ".
Kolya carefully writes his first and last name with a ballpoint pen on the title page of the tome, as well as (on the back of the title page) his postal address, e-mail address and mobile phone number.
He goes and approaches the door with a sign "Curator of Youth Research Aristotelev Newton Darellovich".
"Can I come in?"
"Yes!"
Kolya comes in.
"Newton Darrellovich, the mazut has reached the city of Berdyansk! This is already the Sea of Azov! A science's help is needed in the fight against mazut! Currently, applications for State prizes in the field of science are being accepted. All formalities have been canceled for works from the "Scientific Center for Gifted Children Pluto". I ask you to urgently send my work to the State Prize Awarding Committee."
Newton Darrellovich looks at Kolya affectionately. "Give me your scientific discovery! We expect great results from our talented guys!" ... "Okay, Kolya... We will immediately send your scientific work to the Committee..." "And people have a good rest on the Baltic coast... The mazut hasn't reached there yet... I took beautiful photos of the Baltic Sea during my trips to Sweden... Help yourself to some cakes, coffee...".
Newton Darrellovich gestures to Kolya to sit at a small table, to which a cozy sofa has been pulled up. On the table there is a vase with delicious cakes and two cups, which wait a hot delicious coffee to be poured in them. On the table there is also an album with photos of the Baltic Sea.
Kolya sits down on the sofa. Next to him is Newton Darrellovich. He puts the album with photos of the Baltic resorts in such a way that the album is located on both Kolya's knee and on Newton Darrellovich's knee.
At this moment the walls are shaking. An earthquake! Only three points, but it is unknown what will happen next.
"You, Kolya, go. Not now. You see, what a situation is... Wait for my message about the movement of your work!"
Kolya leaves Newton Darrellovich's room.
Newton Darellovich dials the phone number: "Mika! The mazut reached the city of Berdyansk. This is the Sea of Azov! I have a powerful scientific development "Mathematical model of the Azov-Black Sea basin". It is necessary to strike (to forge) while the iron is hot! All levels provide a support! I am sending this scientific work to the State Prize Awarding Committee."
"Will there be any problems with intellectual rights? Some people complain (on the Internet) about intellectual rights infringement. No one pays attention to it, but it creates an unpleasant background."
"If I receive the State Prize, I will apply for the organization of the Institute of Mathematical Modeling of the South Seas, - with the placement of this Institute on the territory of the Black Sea Scientific Cluster. And if there will be a question about intellectual rights, then I will offer such people positions of junior researchers at this my Institute."
"Okay, send this your scientific work!"
Meanwhile, Kolya returned to the hotel. Kolya informed by phone the man (to whom he was entrusted by his parents) about own return, so that man would not worry and not disturb Kolya's parents.
Kolya will take care of his parents. They are just junior researchers, and he, Kolya, will become a laureate of the State Prize and an academician. Well, at the very least, a corresponding member.
