Georgy Gapon holds the Founding (Constituent) Assembly and removes the Tsar. A mystical story.
In his childhood, Georgy Gapon loved to listen to his father's stories. Free people lived well. A nature, rivers, fields, fairs, holidays.
And when the need arose, free people jumped on their horses, took up weapons and went into battle. After the end of military actions, these people returned to their settlements, enjoyed life, sang songs.
Georgy Gapon studied to be a priest with enthusiasm and passion. Everything was new to him: the huge system of church education ..., the books in the library.
The most interesting book was the Bible. But one day Georgy Gapon read about Mirabeau.
The French king gathered representatives of the people. They began to make decisions. The king did not like these decisions, and the king ordered them to disperse.
All the king's subjects were accustomed to execute king's orders. The representatives of the people were confused. They did not want to disperse. But they had to carry out the king's order.
At that moment, Mirabeau stood up and declared: "We are representatives of the people, and we will leave this hall only by submitting to the force of bayonets!"
At the meeting on June 23, 1789, the master of ceremonies of the royal court, marquis de Dreux-Brézé, announced the king's order, that meant, in fact, the dispersal of the Estates-General (National Assembly). Mirabeau shouted back: "Tell those who send you that we are here by the will of the people and will leave only by the force of bayonets!"
After that, the Great French Revolution began.
"A lot of different things are happening in this world..." - Georgy Gapon thought, - "Who in Russia will gather representatives of the people? Who will object to the tsar?"
Georgy Gapon is active in St. Petersburg. He communicates with the most disadvantaged strata of the population.
Gradually, he becomes an authoritative figure. He is known to workers from various factories in the capital, and to the intelligentsia of the capital.
The life of workers is unbearably hard! This cannot go on! Changes in management are needed!
Georgy Gapon often thinks about biblical prophets. Some of the biblical prophets were also kings!
Church education provided diverse and extensive knowledge, so Georgy Gapon could effectively work on versions of Petition from the people to Tsar Nicholas II.
In Georgy Gapon's hands is the final text of the people's Petition to the Tsar: The Petition of workers and residents of St. Petersburg to Tsar Nicholas II (The St. Petersburg workmen's petition to the Tsar, January 9 (22), 1905).
He, Gapon, will go ahead of the crowds of people to the Winter Palace, will hand to the Tsar the text of the Petition, the Tsar will be forced to agree to the demands of the people, thereby the Tsar will step aside, and he, Georgy Gapon, will stand next to the Tsar, he, Georgy Gapon, will become the first (main) person in the Russian state.
Georgy Gapon visits public places - all over St. Petersburg.
He reads the prepared Petition to crowds of people, he explains (to) people every phrase, and gets everyone who gathered to understand every word and agree with the demands of the Petition.
Georgy Gapon visited many public places, and everywhere he achieved unanimous agreement with the demands of the Petition To The Tsar. No one raised their hands, no one voted, no one counted votes of pros and cons ("for" and "against"), no one participated in meetings - that were unusual for ordinary people (with an agenda, with a presidium, protocols and other attributes of democratic procedures).
But everyone swore to go to the Winter Palace with the Petition. Everyone - who were able to write (who was literate) - signed the Petition.
The Petition received approval from tens (or hundreds) of thousands of people, representing the vast majority of the population.
Ordinary people are not going to object to the Tsar! They feel trust in Georgy Gapon: he is a priest, that is, he is 'the Tsar's man.' [he is the employee, the official of the state (Tsar's) system]
But in the process of reading a new reality emerges: those who gathered swear not to be afraid of possible violence, they swear to go with Gapon, holding icons in their hands, to the Winter Palace (Tsar's residence), and if force will be used against them, then - in that case - "we have no tsar!"
"... issue an order," Georgy Gapon writes to Tsar Nicholas II in his Petition, "that the elections to the founding (constituent) assembly will take place under the condition of universal, secret [confidential] and equal voting."
Everyone swears, everyone is seized by religious exaltation.
On January 8, 1905, speaking to workers, Georgy Gapon expressed the idea that the tsar might not come out to the people (to receive the Petition), that tsar will send troops against them. - He was ending his speech with the words: "And, in such case, we have no tsar!" - and the whole crowd was responding, in chorus: " ... we have no tsar ..."
Georgy Gapon woke up on the morning of January 9, 1905.
Very strange! Not a biblical prophet, not a biblical king, came to him during his sleeping, but of the Frenchman Honoré de Mirabeau.
Very strange!
Huge crowds of people are marching towards the Winter Palace. Georgy Gapon, in church attire, is in front of the people's crowds.
Gapon is a huge authority, everyone listens to him, everyone obeys him.
But here is a strange circumstance.
Ahead are the troops. Infantry and cavalry units.
Why shouldn't Georgy Gapon address them? If Gapon is a huge authority for the masses of the people, then he is probably an authority for people in military overcoats as well?
Georgy Gapon communicated a lot with the common people - with the lower classes of the city. But he was not familiar with the army system.
To read a petition addressing the masses of civilians, to get their approval - he did it successfully.
But what should one do when seeing army units?
Probably, it is necessary to raise the (religious) icons and go straight to the soldiers standing in the ranks.
Soldiers are shooting. Countless people (at the head of which is Georgy Gapon) fall, run back.
It's the end, probably.
It seems to Georgy Gapon, that a person is constantly walking next to him. But this is not the prophet, not the king, about whom Georgy Gapon read in the Bible. This is Honoré de Mirabeau.
Why Honoré de Mirabeau is interested in him, in Georgy Gapon, so much? Georgy Gapon does not understand it.
But such constant proximity directs Georgy Gapon's thoughts to European political customs.
He writes a book - his own biography, he tries to engage in political activity within the framework of political parties.
Honoré de Mirabeau smiles, looks at Georgy Gapon with a gentle smile: everything is completed, and you, monsieur, did not even notice of result!
Georgy Gapon goes to Ozerki (the suburb of St. Petersburg). A bright corridor... Honoré de Mirabeau meets him, welcomes him, shakes his hand: "My congratulations, Monsieur Gapon!"
