A scientific breakthrough. A story for children about Seryozha.
Before the start of the summer season, Seryozha saw an announcement in his school. The best school students can prepare a scientific work. The school will send some of the most interesting works to the Leaders of Science competition.
Seryozha did not attach any importance to this announcement. He was far from the scientific sphere.
But two incidents made him remember the announcement he had seen.
Once Seryozha was walking down the street and saw a woman feeding sparrows and pigeons. A small boy with his parents was walking next to Seryozha. The parents explained to the boy that the half-eaten pie should be thrown into the trash can. The boy ran up to the trash can.
- Wait a moment! - Seryozha said to the boy. He took the rest of the pie from the boy and began to give crumbs to the pigeons and sparrows. They ate the crumbs willingly. Then someone scared them away, and they flew away.
"They ate a food and flew away," - Seryozha thought.
After this incident, Seryozha gave pieces of sausage several times to a cat in his yard. The cat ate sausage willingly. Once this cat rubbed against Seryozha's leg. Seryozha wanted to praise the cat for such an intelligence, but the cat did not listen to Seryozha and disappeared into the bushes.
Comparing these two experiences, Seryozha went to a farmer, whom he knew from the Agricultural Education Program.
Seryozha agreed with the farmer to continue the experiments. The new experience was that Seryozha twice poured the remnants of food into the trough for the pigs.
The pigs willingly ate the food offered to them. They grunted with pleasure, looked at Seryozha with gratitude and did not run anywhere, did not leave and did not fly away.
When Seryozha came to the farmer for the third time, the farmer invited him to have a bite to eat.
Seryozha ate with pleasure.
- Liked? - the farmer asked.
- Yes! - Seryozha answered honestly.
- One of the pigs, you fed, was cooked for dinner, - the farmer explained.
Seryozha poured food for the remaining pigs, and, on the way home, he analyzed the results of experiments.
It turned out that the feeding of pigs is the most effective occupation. They grunt and look with gratitude, do not run away (do not fly away) anywhere and they give a meat.
At home, Seryozha summarized the results of his scientific research and wrote a scientific work.
Seryozha took his scientific work to the school and submitted it for a consideration.
A couple of days later, the deputy director of the school confidentially informed Seryozha that his work was rated as one of the best, and it would be sent to the Leaders of Science competition.
"Maybe a scientific career is just as good as a political one?" - Seryozha thought after a conversation with the deputy director of the school. - "If I will receive a mega-grant, I will develop our native science."
Seryozha now looked at the birds and cats without any interest. "A raising of pigs - it makes sense!"
