An elegant contribution to historical vexillology and the well-deserved reward. A story for children about Seryozha.
After talking with the youth detachment, Seryozha went home. A single minute couldn't be lost - and Seryozha decided to spend 15 minutes of walking for participation in the youth (intellectual) competition to assist the upcoming Grand Sports Games.
After some thought, Seryozha sent a proposal via the Internet to the Competition commission: to sew three sports flags together - the flags of the 'Burevestnik', 'Soko'l and 'Rotor' sports societies. To these three flags - for organization of historical depth - to sew up the flag of the Russian-American Company (this was the time of the first Russian sailings around the world) and the flag of the Far Eastern Republic (travelings in the Far East was very popular at that time). On such a combined flag, Seryozha proposed to place the slogan: 'Remember, the citizens, how you were subjects!'. Seryozha was inspired to this slogan by the proverb 'Grandma remembered, how she was a grandfather (girl).'
A little distance remained to reach the home.
Suddenly, a huge black car stopped next to Seryozha.
A serious man 2 meters 15 centimeters tall got out of the car and invited Seryozha to drive to a meeting of the Competition commission.
The car meandered through the streets, then drove into some tunnel, and suddenly Seryozha found himself in a large, beautiful, well-lit hall without windows.
The chairman of the Competition commission affectionately said to Seryozha:
- Thanks, Seryozha, for your offer. A modern youth is an example of talent, patriotism and intellectual energy. Your offer will be most effectively used! But the introduction of new ideas into the wide masses of population requires the use of some algorithms. Your name will not be mentioned. We award you a tenfold award. But we need an official excuse to give you this award. You must explain to others from where you have a significant amount of money - after all, you are a schoolboy who does not have independent income.
- What is required of me?
- Please write a short historical essay on the Treaty of 1783, which was initialed by Grigory Potemkin and by the outgoing politician [a political figure, retiring]. We don't need a long essay. Briefly state the main ideas. Here is the original of initialed Treaty.
Seryozha sat down at a free table and wrote a short essay in ten minutes.
The chairman of the Competition commission read the essay and nodded his head approvingly.
Mikhail Glinka's music started played loudly: "Slavsya, slavsya ...".
The chairman invited Seryozha to the middle of the hall:
- For a serious contribution to historical science, the schoolboy Seryozha is awarded the Honorary Prize. By a special decision of the commission, the amount of the premium has been increased tenfold. You, Seryozha, as the Chairman of the Public Council of the Pool and the future member of the Sports Expert Commission, showed yourself in the best way. Thank you for not being afraid of a difficult task and for boldly reflecting on difficult scientific problems!
- I serve our science!
Seryozha immediately, right on place, received a diploma, a badge of honor of the prize winner and a large package of money.
- Thank you! - Chairman of the Competition commission summed up the visit of Seryozha.
Seryozha suddenly found himself in a big black car, and the car found itself in some tunnel.
After the winding through the streets, the car delivered Seryozha to the same place from where Seryozha sent a message via the Internet, and where he got into the car.
The tall man opened the door. Seryozha came out of the car.
The car rushed away in an unknown direction.
Seryozha headed home. He thought, that at last young talents were getting a worthy assessment. And the digitalization turns the movement on the career elevator into an easy and enjoyable process.
