This dark place, 
A lane at night
Is dangerous,
Full of criminals.
When it's alight,
You should still be aware
Of weird people by the square.
Everywhere there's some amount of risk,
A brusque moment of pain,
Drama and trauma
But even if you complain,
It's hard to correct
The consequences of something
You used to neglect.

Have a look
At places where you hang out,
And leave at first signs
Of a doubt.
